News article about Kim Hyun Joong's Plastic Surgery in a local newspaper

This came from Manila Bulletin, one of the largest newspaper here in the Philippines.  I am glad that more and more news about our SS501 boys are being published here in our country. ^^ It only means that their popularity here are getting bigger. ^^

MANILA, Philippines – It’s very rare for K-pop stars to admit that their looks were enhanced by plastic surgery.

But hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong, leader of SS501, surprised his fans and viewers when he announced on a Korean talk show program that he underwent nose surgery or rhinoplasty.

Kim was a guest on MBC’s “Knee-Drop Guru” and he was asked by host Kang Ho Dong if his looks were a work of God or work of a doctor.

“It’s God-given but the doctor put the finishing touch on it,” he said, according to a translation by fan forum www.soompi.com.

He explained that his nose was hit by a stone. He got treatment and had his nose done at the same time.

Kim has been praised for his good looks and body that he was nicknamed the “walking sculpture”.

While many Korean singers and actors have obviously undergone plastic and cosmetic surgeries on their teeth, eyes and nose when their before and after photos are compared, they would never admit publicly that they did go under the knife.

Kim has launched his solo career and released his first solo album “Break Down” last June 8 not only South Korea but also in Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong.

The album contains six tracks: “Intro (Let Me Go),” “Break Down,” “Please,” “Kiss Kiss,” "Yes I Will,” and “Please (Instrumental).”

Last June 7, Kim held his album showcase and met with about 4,000 fans at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul.

During the event, SS501 members Heo YoungSaeng and Kim KyuJong appeared as guests.

Kim debuted in the K-pop scene as the leader of SS501 in 2005. He shot to fame when he starred in the drama “Boys over Flowers” in 2009 along with Lee Min-ho, Kim Bum and Kim Joon.
